If you want to take a photo of a local Moroccan person, it's best to ask their permission in advance. Doing so, without asking can cause offence - especially in rural areas. They might start demanding money from you, even if you were just taking a shot of a tree or a scene beside them.
On the other hand if you know the person, or have become friendly with them, it's no problem at all. A lot of times they'll even bring you to a special scenic location so they can have a photograph taken with you for themselves. This is quite normal and you won't be asked for money.
So as long as you respect the customs in Morocco, Africa you can take pictures. |
