From Tineghir in Morocco, Africa you take the 20 km side-trip through the wonderful Todra River valley. The area is decorated with lines of palm and olive groves, colourful almond and pomegranate trees, small crop fields and few small pinkish-grey villages.
Then you'll see the massive Todra Gorge. It stands 100 feet high, cut into the pink and green walls of the High Atlas mountains. It's a mecca for birdwatchers and wildlife enthusiasts.
The actual canyon itself is only a few hundred yards long. I you want to go any further, you'll definitely need a 4X4 vehicle.
