The best places to go hiking,trekking, walking and climbing in Morocco are in the Atlas chain and Rif mountain ranges in north Africa. They provide some excellent opportunities in stunning natural surroundings.

It´s probably the most popular place to go walking and trekking in the High Atlas. It´s beautiful. You´ll be walking through some of the most dramatic landscape on the planet. The mountains are wild, rugged, colourful and sometimes dangerous. Curiously enough, they´re extremely well organized for hikers with qualified guides. There is an efficient network of refuges where you can stay the night. You can even hire a pack of mules or cross-country mountain bikes in some of them.
