Hashish is a psychoactive drug made from the resin of the female cannabis plant. There’s two different ways you can produce it and different areas use different methods. In Morocco, they normally use the sieving technique, which is much easier and faster than hand-rubbed hashish technique. Sieving also produces much more potent hash than the rubbing method that they use in most other parts of Asia like India, Kashmir and Nepal.
There are an estimated 130,000 hectares in Morocco devoted to producing sieved hash. This makes Morocco the world’s largest hashish producer and exporter but also potentially the producer of the world’s most potent hashish.
It was in fact, western colonialism that spurred on cannabis cultivation in Morocco. The west initiated hash production during the 1960’s when " hippie culture" began.
Globally, attitudes towards Marijuana consumption are changing. Its medical uses are becoming more widely recognized.

It may also be an antiviral, an anti-diabetic, a help with hepatitis C, and the best treatment of all for genuine cases of attention deficit disorder”.
If legalized, Morocco could rapidly transform into an incredibly wealthy country. |
